This policy explains how we collect and use personal information in connection with Intellectaa Journal for Teens. We take particular care because most of our authors are children.

What we collect

Article submissionStudent name, age, grade, school, city, country, parent or guardian email, an optional parent or guardian WhatsApp number, the article, and a declaration about the use of AI tools. Where a mentor is named, their name, designation, institution, email and an optional WhatsApp number.
Parental consentParent or guardian name, relationship, contact details and signature.
Publication feesPayments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation only; we do not collect or store card or bank details.
Website useAnonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics.

Children’s data and parental consent

Our authors are school students, most of whom are minors. We require a parent or guardian email at submission and a signed consent form before publication. We do not publish a student’s article, name or school without that consent.

How we use it

Information that becomes public. When an article is published, the author’s name, grade, school, city and country appear publicly alongside it, and the article receives a DOI making it permanently citable. This cannot be withdrawn once published. Written parental consent is obtained beforehand.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run this journal:

We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

Records and correspondence are retained while the service operates. Consent forms are kept for as long as the associated article remains published. Unsuccessful enquiries are kept for up to two years.

Your rights

A parent or guardian may ask us to correct information, withdraw a submission, or delete data we hold about their child at any time before publication. After publication the record cannot be removed, though we will correct errors. Email editor@intellectaa.com quoting your reference number.

Security

We use reputable service providers and restrict access to submission data to the editor and, where relevant, the editorial board. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.
